Dr. Dey grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and has always been interested in a career in healthcare. She attended John Carroll University for her undergraduate education, majoring in Biology. It was during this time that she was exposed to a career in dentistry, and Dr. Dey quickly realized that it would allow her to combine her interests in healthcare with her artistic creativity. Her plans to attend dental school after completing her undergraduate education were postponed after she was hit by a drunk driver. Her recovery required extensive surgeries and rehabilitative therapy; Dr. Dey had a wonderful clinical team that educated her on her options and supported her in her treatment decisions. This difficult time demonstrated the importance of developing a strong doctor-patient partnership, a value that Dr. Dey and the Modern Elevations Dentistry team emphasize in their practice today.
Dr. Dey obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she was commissioned as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps and served for four years. In addition to her formal dental training, Dr. Dey conducted additional rotations focused on Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Prosthodontics. She has also completed courses in the treatment of orofacial pain, the treatment of sleep apnea, and in advanced dental procedures including implant restorations, clear aligner treatment, and cosmetic procedures, including esthetic dental procedures and facial injectables (Botox). As a result, she is able to provide an enhanced range of services that provide a level of care that is exceptional among general dentists. Dr. Dey places an emphasis on continued learning and is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Physiological Aesthetics, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She was selected as one of thirteen dentists nationwide to participate in the inaugural Glidewell Dental Guiding Leaders program in 2019.
Dr. Dey resides in Pickerington, Ohio with her husband Anthony, a corporate lawyer. They have a dog named Shiva, and a cat named Kyrie. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, embroidery, and reading. Dr. Dey also enjoys Pilates and hiking and has a goal to hike in every national park in the United States.
Lisa, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lisa worked with Dr. Dey prior to joining Modern Elevations Dentistry and has been our Dental Hygienist since the opening of the office in 2018. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science of Dental Hygiene from West Liberty University in 2006. Lisa enjoys educating others about the role that oral health plays in overall health. In addition to working in our office, she teaches part-time at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry’s Dental Hygiene program. Lisa met her husband while in college and together they have 2 daughters. They enjoy traveling to Lisa’s home state of Texas to visit family.
Jada, Dental Assistant
Jada joined our team in 2020 after completing her dental assisting program. She loves to learn and to share that knowledge with others. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is helping patients to understand their dental needs and treatment options. Jada plans to further her education in the dental field. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, playing volleyball and taking walks. Jada especially enjoys doggy snuggles with her Boston Terrier.
Lacey, Treatment and Insurance Coordinator
Lacey is local to Etna and has been with our office since 2020. As the Treatment and Insurance Coordinator, Lacey enjoys assisting patients in understanding their dental insurance benefits and assisting with financial arrangements. She strives to help patients maximize benefits to achieve optimal dental and overall health. Lacey and her husband spend spare time supporting their two daughters in Watkins Memorial volleyball and tennis.
Casey, Receptionist
Casey is the first person to greet you with a smile when entering our practice. She is new to the dental field and is eager to learn all that she can. Casey loves to help people and is happy to assist in scheduling appointments. Casey has always enjoyed animals, is a “dog mom” and has a horse. She has grown up around horses and competes in barrel racing on the weekends.
